A: We are a locally owned, online auction platform featuring storage units filled with a wide variety of items. Winner takes all!
Q: Are there any buyer’s fees?
A: No! There's never hidden buyer's fees with our auctions.
Q: How do I place a bid?
A: Click Register on the top menu bar, provide your name, email, and phone number. You must agree to our Terms & Conditions. Registration is free. See all active auctions by clicking the home icon in the menu bar, and place your bid on any or all of them!
Q: What are the pickup requirements?
A: Pickup is the buyer’s responsibility and to be completed within 48 hours. You must bring proof of purchase/ID and have appropriate vehicle(s) plus help to load items. Some units may be bulky — we recommend you bring straps, blankets, moving pads, and tie-downs.
Q: What's in the boxes?
A: As is common with storage unit auctions, there are typically boxes as a part of the lot. However, we don't take an inventory of the items. You can expect homegoods, electronics, clothes/shoes, tools, decorations, and the like.
Q: Can I inspect a unit in person before I bid?
A: We do not offer individual inspections.
Q: How do I pay when I win?
A: Winners are notified by email and must pay within the posted payment window (within 24 hours of auction close). Accepted payment methods are PayPal, Venmo, or cashier’s check at pickup.
Q: Do you charge sales tax?
A: We collect and remit applicable Arizona sales tax (Transaction Privilege Tax). The tax amount is calculated at checkout and shown before you confirm payment, currently 8% in Scottsdale.
Q: Do you offer delivery?
A: No. You must arrange delivery.
Q: Can I bring helpers?
A: Yes — you may bring helpers or hire movers. For safety and insurance reasons, buyers are responsible for the conduct of their helpers.
Q: Do you help load items?
A: No, auction staff will not be present. You must load all items.
Q: Are items sold “as-is”?
A: Yes. All items are sold as-is, where-is. We do our best to list items visible in the unit, but we recommend reviewing photos. We do not offer warranties on condition. Normal wear & tear, and occasional repairs are to be expected in secondhand items.
Q: How accurate are the photos and descriptions?
A: We strive for honest, clear photos and accurate descriptions. Photos are representative of the lot; because each unit contains small items, they may not be individually photographed. Always review the unit details.
Q: What happens if I don’t pay?
A: If payment is not completed within the allowed time, we will cancel your winning bid, charge a cancellation fee, and sell to the next highest bidder. Violations will result in account suspension & fees.
Q: When do I pick up my lot?
A: The pickup window will typically be any time after the auction closes and payment is made. Please coordinate your intended pickup time with us so that the unit is unlocked and ready.
Q: What if I can’t pick up during the scheduled window?
A: Contact us before the 48 hours deadline. Late pickups will incur daily storage fees; unclaimed lots may be assessed removal/disposal fees and relisted. Fees and policies are posted in the Terms & Conditions.
Q: Are under-18s allowed to bid or pick up?
A: No. Bidders and pickup agents must be at least 18 years old.
Q: Can I send another person to pick up my items?
A: Yes, but it needs to be prearranged and they will need to provide ID.
Q: Can I transfer winning rights to someone else?
A: Transfers are allowed only with advance written authorization from ScottsdaleAuctionDrop and proper ID for the pickup agent. Contact support prior to pickup to arrange proxy pickup.
Q: What items are not allowed in lots?
A: For buyer safety and legal compliance, lots never include hazardous materials (chemicals, pesticides), firearms/ammunition, illegal substances, live animals, recalled children’s car seats, perishable food, or stolen items.
Q: Are appliances included?
Are they guaranteed to work?
A: Appliances may appear in units. Unless explicitly listed as “tested and working,” appliances are sold as-is and are not guaranteed.
Q: Do you accept returns?
A: No — all sales are final. We encourage bidders to review photos and descriptions carefully.
Q: Are there storage fees if I don’t pick up on time?
A: Yes. Uncollected lots incur daily storage fees as listed in the lot terms. Continued non-collection may result in cancellation of sale.
Q: Do you share my personal info?
A: No. We protect your personal information and do not sell personal data.
Q: Is bidding secure?
A: Yes. Payments are processed via secure, industry-standard processors, and our site uses HTTPS encryption. Do not transfer funds outside the methods we specify in official communications.
Q: Will I receive a receipt or invoice?
A: Yes — after payment you will get a receipt showing the price, sales tax, and total paid. Keep this for your records.

A: Frequency varies; many auctions run daily or weekly . Check our calendar or subscribe for updates.
